Walking in Capability—Professional Learning

Younga Yarns professional learning programs are designed to build educator confidence, capability, and cultural understanding through direct, meaningful learning. These programs move beyond classroom delivery and focus on strengthening how educators think, engage, and embed Aboriginal perspectives in their practice.

Through guided learning, reflection, and culturally grounded insight, educators develop a deeper understanding of identity, culture, history, and respectful engagement. The focus is not on lesson delivery, but on building the capability to lead, respond, and teach with confidence and integrity.

These programs support educators to move from awareness to application—helping them create learning environments that are culturally respectful, inclusive, and grounded in real understanding.

Designed as a companion to the term-based student courses, this program ensures you understand the meaning behind the content being taught. It helps you move beyond surface-level support and engage with cultural knowledge in a respectful, informed, and appropriate way.
