This program focuses on strengthening understanding of Aboriginal borders, language revitalisation, kinship systems, and cultural protocols so you can confidently support the delivery of First Nations content. Designed as a companion to the term-based student courses, this program ensures you understand the meaning behind the content being taught. It helps you move beyond surface-level support and engage with cultural knowledge in a respectful, informed, and appropriate way. This learning pathway develops your confidence to support educators, respond to student questions, and reinforce cultural understanding through everyday interactions.

The Living with Country Educator Cultural Integration Program strengthens the capability of teaching assistants and early years educators to embed First Nations perspectives with confidence and cultural integrity. Rather than delivering children’s content, this program deepens professional understanding of Country, cultural context and Indigenous ways of knowing. Educators gain the background knowledge, language and practical tools required to support lead teachers and ensure Aboriginal perspectives are woven authentically into everyday kindy learning environments.
Gather, Hunt and Heal introduces young learners to Aboriginal knowledge of bush foods, plants and ecosystems across Country. Through stories, exploration and hands-on activities, students learn how First Nations peoples gathered food, used plants for healing and cared for land, waterways and coastal environments.
